Two bodies were recovered from the cabin of a luxury yacht that sank during a violent storm off the coast of Italy early Monday.
A source tells NBC News that divers found two bodies inside the cabin of the Bayesian on Wednesday.
Tech billionaire Mike Lynch and his daughter Hannah, 18, are among six people missing after the yacht sank.
Lynch, a billionaire technology entrepreneur, was known as “Britain’s Bill Gates.”
Also missing are millionaire Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy; and Lynch’s New York lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda.
The two bodies recovered on Wednesday have not been identified.
On Monday, officials confirmed divers recovered the body of the ship’s cook, Canadian-Antiguan national Recaldo Thomas.
12 passengers and 10 crew were on board the Bayesian moored at a dock in Sicily when tragedy struck.
Witnesses say the boat was hit by lightning during a sudden violent storm. 15 people made it into a lifeboat. A nearby ship rescued the 15 survivors.
Among the survivors was Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, who co-owned the yacht.
Mike Lynch was acquitted of fraud by a San Francisco jury earlier this year. The trial stemmed from the 2011 sale of his software company Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard for $11 billion.
Lynch and his wife were hosting a lavish party on the yacht to celebrate the acquittal when tragedy struck around 5 a.m. Monday.
Lynch’s co-defendant Stephen Chamberlain was struck and killed by a car while jogging near London on Saturday. Officials say the 2 tragic incidents are not related.
