Meghan Markle showed off her mostly makeup-free face at the Paley Honors Falls Gala for Tyler Perry on Wednesday Dec. 4 in Beverly Hills.
The 43-year-old ex “Suits” actress supported a teary-eyed Tyler Perry as he was recognized for his filmmaking achievements and philanthropy.
According to Vanity Fair, the fresh-faced beauty, 43, wore a glamorous strapless black gown by Oscar de la Renta and a $36,000 diamond tennis necklace and a gold Cartier bracelet. Unfortunately, it seems Meghan lost one of her diamond earrings. Meghan wore her jet black hair in an elegant updo.
Meghan applied a thin layer of lipstick but left the rest of her face untouched. You can count Meghan’s freckles in this close-up shot.
The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel’s massive ballroom and strolled down the red carpet until she spotted the billionaire media mogul. She giggled and rushed over to Tyler, clapping her hands before greeting Perry with a long hug. Then the good friends posed for photos together.
Tyler is Godfather to Meghan and Prince Harry’s 3-year-old daughter Lilibet.
Meghan sat next to Tyler and supported him throughout the evening. He choked back tears as Oprah Winfrey delivered a powerful speech about his “ginormous spirit” in fulfilling dreams for strangers and overcoming severe physical abuse by his father and sexual abuse by several adults in his community.
“He took his pain and his trauma and transformed that into art, into humor, and into hope,” Oprah told the audience. “He made people feel seen and feel they matter — and that is the secret and the power of Tyler Perry’s success.”
