Amber Rose sparked outrage when she endorsed former President Donald Trump on Monday. The social media influencer posted a photo to Instagram of herself with Trump and his wife, Melania Trump.
She captioned the image: “Trump 2024” alongside 3 American flag emojis.
Rose was a guest at a black-tie event to raise funds for the embattled president. Trump is currently on trial in New York City.
The post sparked outrage among her followers. They seemed to forget that Rose said she would leave the country if Trump were elected president in 2016.
One person wrote on Instagram: “AMBER, HE’S LITERALLY AGAINST EVERYTHING YOU STAND FOR! WTF?!?!?!”
Another person wrote: “Got to unfollow you. You aren’t who I thought you were.”
A third person wrote: “Of all the sh*t you would use your platform for.”
In unrelated news, rapper Cardi B also turned her back on President Biden, saying she won’t vote for him or Trump.
“I feel like people got betrayed,” she told Rolling Stone Magazine. Cardi B interviewed Biden and endorsed him ahead of the 2020 election.
But the rapper has since expressed her disappointment in Biden’s policies and the current econony.
“It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody,” she said. “Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f—— thing.”
Cardi criticized the high cost of groceries in a post in January.
“What the f— is going on?” she wrote. “Lettuce was like $2 a couple months ago and now it’s like f—ing $7, of course I’m [going to] say something. The f—?”
Cardi B says she won’t vote for Trump either because Trump and Biden are two sides of the same coin.
