Anita Baker canceled her Mother’s Day concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The local news reports that the cancelation left “hundreds” of ticket holders disappointed.
Many fans traveled from out of town and purchased tickets to the show as gifts to their mothers.

According to fan complaints, the R&B/Soul singer has a reputation for showing up late or forgetting the lyrics to her songs.
Baker, 66, has won eight Grammy Awards and sold 13 million albums in the U.S. alone. Her debut album, The Songstress, sold over 8 million copies, and remains the best-selling album of her career.
The beloved singer’s Platinum-selling second album, Rapture (1986), spawned the Grammy-winning single “Sweet Love” and the hit songs “You Bring Me Joy”, “Caught Up in the Rapture”, “No One in the World” and “Same Ole Love (365 Days a Year)”.
Her other hit singles include “Angel”, “You’re the Best Thing Yet”, “Giving You the Best That I Got”, “I Apologize”, “Good Love”, “No More Tears”, “Will You Be Mine”, “Been So Long”, “Just Because”, and “Body and Soul.”
