Celebrities are moving out of Atlanta in droves. The city has become an undesirable place to live for rappers, singers, actors and pro athletes.
Crime and the cost of living are spiraling out of control, causing celebs to abandon Atlanta for Miami, Houston, L.A. and even New York.
Rapper Cardi B says she no longer wants her Atlanta mansion after filing for divorce from promiscuous rapper Offset. Cardi and Offset purchased the 22,000 sq. ft. house for $5.5 million in December 2019.
But Cardi, who was born in the Bronx, packed up and moved with her three kids back to New York. Cardi listed her Atlanta property for $7 million. She also owns a $6 million home in New Jersey.
She posted an X (Twitter) photo of her Atlanta home, which is under renovation, along with the caption: “My casa … I don’t want it no more tho.”
When asked why she no longer wanted her house, Cardi explained: “I don’t like living in Atlanta … I actually don’t like living nowhere else but NY.”
One follower then suggested Miami as an alternative, but Cardi dismissed that idea.
“After 2 weeks in Miami I be ready to go back home.”
One famous Atlantan who is staying put is rapper Rick Ross. He expressed an interest in Cardi B’s property.
Rick Ross famously bought former boxer Evander Holyfield’s Atlanta area estate.
Rick Ross also purchased rapper Meek Mill’s home, which he saw on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Cardi is still dragging Offset, who has been pictured with Instagram models at celebrity events.
In a now-deleted post, Cardi appeared to lash out at Offset on social media, where she wrote, “Fk off and sign the papers today.”
This came after a statement from Offset who accused her of trying to ruin his reputation.
“You are a fire woman with good music but you focus on dk and trynna make me look bad … This s**t is whack from us both, honestly. Drop the album and go up.”
