Chad Dillon, owner of the popular The Boiler Seafood & Crab restaurant in Buckhead, Atlanta, was shot and killed on Tuesday.

According to Atlanta News First (ANF), police responded to a person shot call near the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, just before 3:50 p.m.

Police found Dillon suffering from “apparent gunshot wounds” near a Rolls-Royce in the middle of the street. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.

Dillon, 33, opened his first restaurant, Seafood & Crab Boil, during the pandemic in 2021. He earned over $8 million in sales in his first year of operation.

Following the success of Seafood & Crab Boil, he opened three additional seafood restaurants in the Atlanta area.

He captioned one video: “Laid the foundation 2023.. 2024 we coming for it all!! All Gas!! NO BRAKES!!”

Dillon’s friends told Atlanta News First that he was working at the restaurant, Dipped N Butter, and was gunned down when he went out to his car.

Dillon spoke with ANF in 2022 after donating $15,000 to help convicted felons open their own businesses.

“Some of these guys are really good guys that made one mistake,” Dillon said at the time. “These people still have skills, they still have talent, they still have a lot of knowledge, and they’re still creatives. And we don’t want to forget about our creatives.”
