Angel Reese may be the Chicago Sky’s best-known player, but guard Kysre Gondrezick is the fan favorite. That’s why fans were shocked when Gondrezick was waived by the team on Friday.
“Waiving players mid season is such a punch in the gut,” one X/Twitter user wrote on Friday.
“She didn’t really get a chance, but I hope she lands on another team,” tweeted another user.

Male sports fans were particular upset, because they consider Gondrezick one of the hottest WNBA players.
One disappointed fan on a Manosphere board wrote: “She can make more money as a NBA wife/BM & social media influencer.”
Another person wrote: “The WNBA needs to chill out, they can’t be waiving all of the bad bi#ches.”
One male fan pointed out the WBNA seems to be getting rid of the straight players.
He wrote: “If you not a masculine tatted up bull d***, your days in the wnba will be rough.”
If you recall, Gondrezick made headlines when she accused former Houston Rockets star Kevin Porter Jr. of strangling her in a hotel room last September.
Police charged Porter Jr. with second-degree assault, and he was waived by the Rockets. He now plays pro basketball in Greece for a meager $10,000 salary.
Meanwhile, Gondrezick moved on quickly with NBA champion Jaylen Brown. She was spotted partying with Brown after the Boston Celtics won the NBA title. She also attended the team’s victory parade.
