Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice admitted his involvement in a 6-vehicle accident in Dallas, Texas.
Police linked Rice to 2 luxury vehicles that caused a multi-car crash on a busy highway in Dallas on Saturday.
A Lamborghini URUS and a Corvette were racing when the Lamborghini lost control and hit the center median wall, causing a chain-reaction crash.
Police said 4 people were injured and a man and his wife were transported to a hospital. The couple has already lawyered up, according to reports.
Dashcam video shows a man wearing a black hoodie getting out of the wrecked Lamborghini SUV with 2 other men. Rice and four men casually walked away from the scene before police arrived.
TMZ obtained photos of Rice wearing the same black hoodie at a party earlier in the day.
On Tuesday, Rice finally admitted he was driving the Lamborghini in the multi-car crash, according to a TMZ.
Rice, 23, contacted the Classic Lifestyle car dealership after the crash. He acknowledged his responsibility and promised to pay for the wrecked Lambo.
Kyle Coker, the attorney representing Classic Lifestyle, told TMZ Rice signed a lease agreement acknowledging he was the only person permitted to drive the Lamborghini.
Rice has been a Classic Lifestyle customer since he was a student at SMU, according to Coker.
Coker says Rice leased the 2021 matte black Lambo for $1,749 a day.
Police have been searching for Rice since the accident. His attorney said Rice would make a statement soon.
The NFL is “monitoring” the investigation, according to The Bleacher Report.
