Police in Dallas, Texas are searching for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection to a 6-vehicle crash on Saturday.
Dash cam footage shows a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini racing on the Central Expressway near University Boulevard around 6:30 PM.
Police say the Lamborghini driver lost control and hit the median wall “causing a chain reaction collision” involving the Corvette and four other vehicles on the highway.
Photos obtained by TMZ show 3 men hop out of the Lamborghini and 2 men get out of the Corvette. All 5 men fled the scene on foot before police arrived.
The men did not stop to render aid to the injured, police said.
Two people were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
The Corvette, which was abandoned on the highway, is registered or leased to Rice, according to The Dallas Morning News. The Morning News reported that Rice was the driver of the Corvette.
Rice was not in custody as of Sunday morning, according to jail records.
Rice moved to Texas in the third grade and played on the Richland High School football team. He attended Southern Methodist University, where he was a standout wide receiver. Rice led the nation in receiving yards per game in his senior year.
The Chiefs picked Rice in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He won a Super Bowl with the team in February.
The NFL and the Chiefs have not responded to WFAA’s request for comment.
