An alleged post by former President Donald Trump went viral on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” read the post on Trump’s Truth Social app on Sunday morning.
After the post went viral, many users were confused about the source of the post. Did Trump really write such a trivial post or did someone in his camp write it?
The post seems like something Trump’s advisor Laura Loomer would write.
Last week, the pop superstar endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on Instagram.
In her post, Swift holds her pet cat and says she intends to vote for Harris for president of the United States in November. She urged her followers to do their own research.
“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote. “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
Swift’s post drove more than 400,000 people to the Vote.gov website in a 24-hour period.
Swift, 34, also called out Trump for using her likeness in an AI-generated image endorsing him.
In an interview with Fox Business, the billionaire businessman said he wasn’t concerned about Swift suing him. He claimed the image was “made up by other people” in his camp.
His statement that “other people” in his camp made up the AI-generated image of Swift also prompted some journalists to suggest someone else wrote the “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” post.
Experts agree that the likelihood of Trump writing the post himself is slim to none. It is beneath a former U.S. president to write such a trivial statement during a presidential campaign.
Trump, 78, has terrible advisers in his corner. Including influencer Laura Loomer, who seems to be sabotaging his campaign from the inside.
The Harris-Walz campaign didn’t mention the post, but the campaign released a statement:
“The American people want to be Out of the Woods of the chaos and division of the Trump era, leave behind the Blank Space of Trump’s broken promises, and Begin Again by electing Vice President Harris to ensure America’s future of opportunity is Long Lived,” the press release said.
