EMINEM JOINS FORCES WITH FAST FOOD SPOT FOR ‘WHITE RAPPER’ MERCH COLLAB

Eminem is teaming up with White Castle and embracing the “White Rapper” moniker for a limited-run merch collab.

Released on Tuesday (July 9), the merch is part of the roll-out for the Detroit legend’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe De Grâce).

Among the items are a trucker hat and a white tee with the worlds ‘White Rapper’ inside the White Castle logo, with “Established in 1972… Buy ’em by the ‘sack’” underneath.

Eminem‘s twelfth studio album is set to go live this weekend, and he has now unveiled the package’s artwork.

On Tuesday (July 9), the Detroit MC shared the cover image for The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe De Grâce) just days prior to its release.

Per the LP’s title, said visual features the rap veteran with bleach-blonde hair and a startled expression on his face as he is almost fully zipped up inside a body bag while still alive.

This look alludes to his controversial Slim Shady character, which he now seems ready to retire.

Earlier this year, Eminem kickstarted its rollout by releasing an obituary for the aforementioned alter ego that helped kickstart his career in the 1990s. Published in the Detroit Free Press back in mid-May, the piece was was centered on the forthcoming LP.

Accompanied by a picture of the 8 Mile star wearing a Jason Voorhees-style hockey mask reminiscent of his younger days, the article stated that “Fans ‘Will Never Forget’ [The] Controversial Rapper” in the subheading.

The body read: “A product of Detroit who began his career there as a rogue splinter in the flourishing underground rap scene of the mid to late 1990s, Shady first became a household name in 1999 with the debut of his playfully deranged single ‘My Name Is,’ which — along with its uniquely eye catching video — exposed the young artist and his lyrics to a wider audience.

“Ultimately, the very things that seemed to be the tools he used became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to a sudden and horrific end. His complex and tortured existence has come to a close, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the manner in which this character departed this world. May he truly find the peace in an afterlife that he could not find on Earth.”

So far, the D12 leader has released two singles to stir up anticipation for the upcoming project: “Tobey” (featuring Big Sean and BabyTron) and “Houdini.”
