Kris Jenner went under the knife to remove her uterus and both of her ovaries after her doctor discovered an aggressive tumor growing on one ovary.
In a teaser for the July 18 episode of “The Kardashians,” Jenner revealed she underwent a total hysterectomy.
“I’m done with my surgery,” the 68-year-old momager told ex son-in-law Scott Disick, 41, while lying on a couch. “And I feel great!”
The mom of six first revealed her diagnosis in the Season 5 trailer for the Hulu reality show.
In the video clip, released in May, an emotional Jenner shared the news with daughters Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
“I had my scan,” she told her daughters while fighting back tears. “They found a cyst and, like, a little tumor.”
In the July 11 episode, Jenner told friends Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick that she was going under the knife. Jenner said doctors originally planned to take out her ovaries.
Then she got the call that the tumor was aggressively growing, so her uterus had to go too.
“I’m gonna have a hysterectomy,” she said. “It started out as just getting some ovaries removed, and then today I got a phone call,” Jenner added.
“I’m going to remove something that gave me six of the best parts of my whole life,” Jenner added.
The artist manager mourned the loss of her reproductive organs, including all of her viable eggs. Jenner and her longtime partner Corey Gamble had planned to start a family of their own.
“I’m very emotional about it, because when you’re young, you start talking about wanting a family. It was all we talked about literally for 40, 50 years. So, here we are now talking about it again and it’s the other side of the process.”
Kim Kardashian and Khloe presented their mom with a custom cake featuring the words: “It’s not ovary yet.”
“My mom is pretty sad about having to lose her ovaries and I think we just need to make it into a positive moment and bring her something to cheer her up and just celebrate the amazing work those ovaries have done,” Kim said.
