Lil Rel Howery dismissed accusations that he lost weight using Ozempic or Wegovy. Lil Rel Howery trended on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday.
Fans were shocked by a recent photo of the “Get Out” star attending a movie premiere. The slim, physically fit actor/comedian is barely recognizable in the photos.
One X user wrote “He went from 52 to 30.”
Another X user wrote: “Homie from Get Out was getting it in.”
While a third person wrote: “He looks incredible!”
Then came the Ozempic accusations.
One X user wrote: “Okay… now, who is selling Ozempic?? And how much do i gotta pay to get some???”
Another person wrote: “Wow, Lil Rel Howery lost so much weight! Bet he just swapped late-night snacks for Ozempic shakes.”
Lil Rel took to his Instagram account on Wednesday to deny using Ozempic on his weight-loss journey.
He captioned a video: “I’m on that Godzempic, Happyzempic, Hardworkzempic, PurposeZempic and just plan on Truthzempic. I’m grateful and glad I said yes to God assignment on my life and friends still here and gone that kept it 100 with me… #BlessedAndHighlyFavored.”
The comedian said he stopped drinking alcohol, and developed a closer relationship with God to help him on his journey.
He applauded billionaire Oprah Winfrey for admitting she used Ozempic in her weight-loss journey.
“That’s somebody who admitted to that,” he said. “I applaud her for that.”
He said people are weaponizing Ozempic to attack celebrities.
“Look, everybody got they own journey, but one thing I don’t play about is God,” he added. “Y’all don’t know what I’ve been through. And the only thing I was bragging about was how I heard God and decided to move in that way.”
Others said Lil Rel had a facelift. But no one could deny he looks great!
Lil Rel is pictured in September 2023 with his life partner Dannella Lane. “I would have never met Dannella if I hadn’t taken this journey, because I wouldn’t have been in the right space,” he said in the video.
