Wayne Brady and his ex-girlfriend welcomed a baby boy six months ago. Brady announced his son’s arrival on his reality show.
The comedian shared this unexpected news with viewers during Wednesday’s premiere of his Freeform reality show, “Wayne Brady: The Family Remix.”
“I happen to have a 6-month-old son named Val Henry that I recently just had with my ex-girlfriend Tina,” he said.
Wayne added that he and his family “are giving you no-holds-barred realness” on his reality TV show.
The reason the news is unexpected is because Wayne came out as bisexual last year – around the time Tina fell pregnant.
The twice married comedian said his daughter Maile, 20, and ex-wife Mandie Taketa, 48, are accepting of his decision to come out.
“I am free to love any damn body that I want to,” he told E! News‘ Francesca Amiker at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards on March 14.
Wayne said his DMs are “popping” with NSFW photos sent by men on his social media pages.
“My DMs are popping and it’s amazing. I’ve never gotten an eggplant in my inbox,” Wayne said at the time. “It’s shocking. Much respect to women, I’m sorry, I know you feel when a random guy just goes, ‘Hey, I like you so much, I’ma show you my junk.’ Like, no bro, that isn’t necessarily the calling card that I want. But I’m flattered, thank you.”
Fans are accusing Wayne of being gay for pay. Gay for pay means a straight person who pretends to be gay for financial benefits.
The term gay for pay carries strong negative connotations in the LGBTQ community.
