One of Chief Keef’s baby mamas serves nearly half of prison sentence for filing false tax returns

A former Chicago tax preparer is serving a 14-month sentence in federal prison for filing false tax returns.

Erica Early, 40, is best known as one of drill rapper Chief Keef’s baby mamas. Chief Keef, 28, has nine children by 5 or 6 women.

In 2013, a judge ordered the rapper to pay Erica $2,500 a month in child support for their daughter.

By 2014, he owed her over $10,000, according to the Chicago Tribune. He failed to show up for a child support hearing and a judge issued an arrest warrant.

Chief Keef has fallen behind on child support to several of his baby mamas.

He had his first child, a daughter, at age 16. He was 17 when his hit song “I Don’t Like” peaked at #15 on the Billboard Rap chart.

Despite flossing cash, cars and jewels on social media, Chief Keef claims an income of just $9,000 a month with $9,000 in monthly expenses.

Erica, who worked as a U.S. Postal Service employee, lived an extravagant lifestyle. But her salary as a government employee wasn’t enough.

So she began a side hustle as a “ghost preparer” filing tax returns for her friends. According to court documents, Erica marked the returns as “self-prepared” without identifying herself as the preparer. She charged her friends a $1,000 fee in exchange for getting them large tax refunds.

Erica deposited the fees and client refunds into her personal bank account that was then closed by the bank after detecting fraudulent activity.

Erica applied for prepaid debit cards in her clients’ names that she would use to deposit her clients’ refunds as well as her fees.

She pled guilty to filing false tax returns last June.

In December, a federal judge sentenced Erica to 14 months in prison. Additionally, she is ordered to serve one year of supervised release and to pay $515,990 in restitution to the IRS.

Erica is not the same baby mama who has children by Chief Keef and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, 22. That would be Shannon (pictured below).

Shannon is reportedly 30 years old. She fell pregnant with Ant’s first child when he was only 18 and she was 26.

They went Instagram official in 2020 and she has been seen sitting courtside at Edwards’ games.

Shannon is seen in an embarrassing viral video in April. The video shows Ant wearing his pants sagging after a playoff game.

Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks sent Ant on an early vacation after they beat the Timberwolves 4 games to 1 in the Western Conference Finals.
