Remy ma’s son, Jayson “Jace” Scott, is charged with 1st-degree murder in connection with the 2021 shooting death of an ex-con.
Scott, 23, was arrested on Tuesday, June 18, along with Richard Swygert, The NY Daily News reported.
Darius Guillebeaux, 47, was allegedly shot by Scott and Swygert at 148th St. and Rockaway Blvd. in South Jamaica, Queens on June 7, 2021.
Guillebeaux was shot multiple times in the head and chest and died at a local hospital.
According to Page Six, Scott and Swygert were hitmen who were contracted to kill Guillebeaux.
The victim had a lengthy criminal record. He served three prison terms for drug dealing and robbery, according to reports.
Guillebeaux had 13 total arrests on his criminal record.
Remy, real name Reminisce Smith, gave birth to Scott in 2000. They appeared together in a 2016 episode of VH1 reality TV series “Love & Hip-Hop: NY.”
In the episode, Remy, 44, had an intimate talk with her son before he walked her down the aisle for her second wedding to Papoose.
“I’m very, very proud of you and I love the bond that we’re creating. I feel like we’re getting back to where we was before I went away for that long, long period of time,” she said, referring to her 6-year prison term.
Remy also has a daughter Reminisce, 5, whom she shares with Papoose.
