Black Twitter roasted Victoria Monét for allegedly wrecking another woman’s home. The singer/songwriter, 35, and TikTok star John Gaines, 33, are parents to 3-year-old Hazel Monét Gaines.
After the allegations, the “On My Mama” singer abruptly canceled her appearances at several upcoming festivals due to “ongoing health issues.”
“I am gutted to share that I will no longer be able to perform at Governors Ball (NYC), Roots Picnic (Philadelphia) or Blavity (Nashville) this June,” Victoria wrote in an Instagram Stories May 20. “I am so sorry!! Candidly I have been dealing with some ongoing health issues that have to be addressed right now, but I will be back out there soon, that’s a promise!”
The drama unfolded when an X/Twitter user said Victoria pulled a Beyonce move and stole John Gaines from another woman.
“Finding out that Ms. Monet pulled a Ponytail move and took her bd while he was engaged to someone else….whew,” the user wrote.
She also shared photos of John with his then-fiancee.

Victoria’s friend disputed the allegations.
“This is NOT true. I been following him & Vic since the beginning, that’s not how it happened the ex name is Lauren, they were together for 3yrs before they broke up in 2019 and never been engaged. vic & him met at a gym & asked him to be in a mv then got together in 2020 summer.”
Then Lauren’s brother chimed in to confirm the rumors.
