Young Thug’s father reacted to his son’s non-negotiated plea deal on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Thugger (born Jeffery Williams) was released from jail on Thursday night after changing his plea to guilty in Georgia’s longest-running criminal trial.

Thugger, 33, pled guilty to gang activity, drug possession, and weapons offenses.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker sentenced the rapper to 15 years probation, community service and thousands of dollars in fines.

Additionally, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis banned Young Thug from living in the city of Atlanta. He is barred from living in the metro Atlanta area for the first 10 years of his probation.

The terms of Young Thug’s probation upset his father, Jeffery Williams Sr., who called for Atlantans to oust Willis in the upcoming election.

Williams Sr. was annoyed that his son is barred from living in Atlanta.

“I’m totally against that, because this is where he’s from,” he said. “And to have a district attorney take that away from him that isn’t a resident from here. She’s from another state, and to see her take a man away from where he’s from, to have to go live somewhere else? That’s offensive to me. I’m really offended by that.”

Williams Sr. said he wanted his son to fight the charges, and “let them keep embarrassing themselves.”

He said Young Thug will “get back to work” in the studio to “get back to our normal life.”

Williams Sr. wore a cap endorsing Courtney Kramer for the district attorney’s office.

“We need to get rid of the poison that’s in our system, and that’s the district attorney’s office,” he said.

“So vote Courtney Kramer. I support Courtney Kramer to the fullest. I feel like she’s the best person for the job,” he added.
