Los Angeles Lakers star forward Christian Wood was awarded full custody of his 10-month-old son, Kobe. A judge also granted a permanent restraining order against his ex Yasmine Lopez.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Wood was granted a temporary restraining order against Lopez in March.
But she violated the restraining order, leading to a permanent restraining order.
In court documents, Wood claims Lopez showed up at his L.A. house with a group of friends.
Wood alleged she climbed his fence and vandalized his Mercedes-Benz, causing deep scratches all over the luxury vehicle.
A neighbor spotted Lopez on Wood’s property and called the police. Lopez was arrested and charged with trespassing in violation of the court order.
Wood said the police called him and instructed him to pick up his son at the home of Lopez’s friend. But when the NBA star got there he was met with aggression.
He claimed Lopez’s friend refused to give him Kobe. He said the friend made “allegations against” him and misrepresented “the facts to the media to gain favor.”
Wood also claimed Lopez broke into his home in 2023 and caused damage inside.
Lopez did not appear in court and Wood was granted full custody and a restraining order that remains in effect until 2027.
Lopez not only lost custody of her son, but she also lost child support for 18 years. She has another son named Chosen from a previous relationship.
The former Detroit Pistons star signed a $5.7 million, 2-year contract with the Lakers in 2023. Due to an injury, he did not play in the Lakers’ first round loss to the Denver Nuggets in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
