Simone Biles made history when she won her 9th national gymnastics title at the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships on Sunday.
The 27-year-old gymnastics star won the highest score recorded for the vault, bars, beam, and floor routines during the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.
Simon’s mom and her husband, Jonathan Owens, watched the record-breaking moment from the stands.

Biles said she has improved since she withdrew from the Olympics in 2021, citing mental health issues.
She said she is seeking therapy ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France in July.
“I use the phrase ‘aging like fine wine,’” Biles told reporters. “I thought I was molting a while ago, but it’s just getting better and better. So we’ll see. Hopefully we get to ride this out for the rest of the year.”
Biles will compete with other members of the Senior Women’s National Team for one of 5 spots for the Paris Olympics team. The Olympic team trials will be held in Minneapolis from June 27 to 30.
