Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins says she’s recovering following a medical scare that left TLC shows cancelled.

T-Boz, 54, is at home recovering from a “severe abdominal blockage” after ending up in a hospital.

According to a press release, TLC canceled a show on Saturday, August 24, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

The cancellation was announced 30 minutes before showtime.

“Unfortunately, tonight’s TLC performance has been canceled due to T-Boz experiencing severe illness,” T-Boz and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas (right) said in a statement on Instagram.

“Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event promoters,” the statement read. “The decision to cancel was made under the advisement of her physician, who required her to stay in the hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition.”

In a follow-up post on X.com, T-Boz wrote:

“I’m on The Mend!!! This Was Just One Of Those Unexpected Things That I Had No Control Over! I Look Forward To Making It Up 2 You All… And Hopefully I’ll Get Out Of The Hospital Soon!!!”

T-Boz initially thought she had food poisoning due to nausea, vomiting and “intense” abdominal cramps.

But a doctor diagnosed T-Boz with “severe abdominal blockage” and advised her to cancel her shows.

T-Boz’s condition led to speculation that she is suffering from a rare Ozempic side effect known as “stomach paralysis.”

Stomach paralysis (gastroparesis) is linked to popular weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy. The drugs affect the nerves and muscles of the stomach causing food to stay in the stomach for days.

Gastroparesis slows the passage of food from the stomach into the small intestine, interfering with normal digestion.

Signs and symptoms of gastroparesis include nausea, forceful vomiting, diarrhea, feeling of fullness after eating, bloating, lack of appetite, and weight loss.
