The Atlanta Dream WNBA team normally plays in the smallish Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia. But Monday’s game against the Indiana Fever was moved to State Farm Arena to accommodate the Caitlin Clark show.

Clark and the Fever rolled into Atlanta and rolled over our Atlanta Dream 84-79 in front of a sold-out crowd.

Clark, 22, finished with 19 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds to lift the Fever’s record to 14-16 on the season.

She scored her 85th trey in the game, tying the rookie record set by the 2010 No. 1 pick Rhyne Howard in 2022.

And Clark committed just 2 turnovers, her fewest turnovers in a game since May 24.

Both the Fever and the Dream are fighting for a playoff spot. The Fever is currently in the No. 7 spot. The Dream and the Chicago Sky share the same 11-18 record.

Dream star Tina Charles showed respect for the rookie phenom when asked about the sold-out arena before the game.

“It’s great that there is a fitting arena in Atlanta just to accommodate,” Charles said. “Obviously, we know who Caitlin Clark is and her impact in this league, especially this year, so however we can get it, I’ll take it for me personally. Just thankful that I’m able to be a part of it.”

After the game, Clark autographed her Kobe sneakers for an excited fan.
