Kim Porter’s 4 children — Christian, 26, twins Jessie, and D’Lila, 17, (by Sean Combs) and Porter’s eldest son Quincy, 33, (by Al B. Sure!) addressed the speculation surrounding their mother’s death.
Porter died from double pneumonia at age 47 in November 2018. She was sick with flu-like symptoms for several days and died at home in Los Angeles.
The four siblings wrote an open letter to address the conspiracy theories about her death. The post on Instagram was signed off by Christian, Jessie, D’Lila and Quincy.
Christian, Jessie and D’Lila defended their father, Sean Combs, who is locked up in a federal detention center in Brooklyn, NY, on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.
The kids dismissed a fraudulent book that is being marketed Amazon.com as Kim’s “diaries.”
Their post begins: “WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY HURTFUL AND FALSE RUMORS CIRCULATING ABOUT OUR PARENTS. KIM PORTER AND SEAN COMBS’ RELATIONSHIP. AS WELL AS ABOUT OUR MOM’S TRAGIC PASSING. THAT WE FEEL THE NEED TO SPEAK OUT.
“CLAIMS THAT OUR MOM WROTE A BOOK ARE SIMPLY UNTRUE. SHE DID NOT. AND ANYONE CLAIMING TO HAVE A MANUSCRIPT IS MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES.”
The book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words,” contains false claims that Porter slept with the late rapper Tupac Shakur, and that she participated in threesomes with Combs and Quincy’s father, Al B. Sure!.
Al B. Sure! (pictured with son Quincy and Sean Combs in 2018) vigorously denied the allegations in a post on Instagram. He dismissed the book as a fraud.
He also called for an investigation into Porter’s untimely death. Sure! implied that there was foul play involved in her death.
But her children addressed the speculation in their open letter.
“OUR LIVES WERE SHATTERED WHEN WE LOST OUR MOTHER. SHE WAS OUR WORLD, AND NOTHING HAD BEEN THE SAME SINCE SHE PASSED… THE CAUSE OF HER DEATH HAS LONG BEEN ESTABLISHED. THERE WAS NO FOUL PLAY.”
They concluded: “WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PLEASE RESPECT OUR MOTHER, KIM PORTER.
“AND HOLD HER LEGACY IN HIGH REGARD SO THAT SHE MAY REST IN PEACE. IT’S WHAT SHE DESERVES.
“WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU MOMMY.”
The book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words” is still available for sale on Amazon.com.
