Inga Marchand, better known as retired rapper Foxy Brown, addressed the speculation surrounding her relationship with Jay Z, a.k.a. “HOV.”
The rumors claimed Foxy Brown was molested by Jay Z when she was only 15.
The rumors about Jay Z and Foxy Brown resurfaced after music mogul Sean Combs was arrested in New York on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.
In a post on Instagram over the weekend, Foxy Brown addressed a rumor that Jay Z forced her to sign an NDA that expires in 2025.
“Miss me wit tha fake news NDA?” she wrote. “Ain’t a MF alive could stop my story.”
Foxy, 46, also shared a post honoring Russell Simmons, who was hit with several sexual assault allegations over the years.
“Dear Russell, being your first protege was one of the greatest joys of my life,” Foxy wrote. “We had the biggest bidding war in hip hop history but they really never stood a chance, I knew I’d chosen the best! Your kind soul is a rarity in this industry. Baby C’s so lucky to have you as a godfather!”
In 1996, Foxy Brown released her debut studio album, Ill Na Na, which spawned the Top 10 hit song “I’ll Be” (featuring Jay Z).
Def Jam canceled the release of her fourth studio album Ill Na Na 2: The Fever in 2003 when she left the record label.
Jay Z ultimately signed her to Def Jam again to record another album, Black Roses, which was never released.
Foxy Brown’s lack of album releases spawned rumors that she was suffering from a mental health condition.
