Simone Biles show her unconditional love and affection for her husband, Jonathan Owens, by wearing his photos on her clothes. But some fans say she’s taken her devotion for Jonathan a step too far.
The Olympic gymnast divided some fans by wearing custom outfits covered with pictures of Jonathan. Simone turned heads when she arrived at Chicago’s Soldier Field stadium on Thursday, wearing a custom jogging suit honoring Jonathan.
Chicago Bears fans rated Simone Biles‘ outfit from “ugly” to a “terrible fit.” One fan said they couldn’t believe Simone paid someone to make the outfit.
Earlier this month, Simone wore a pair of grey sweatpants with her husband’s name emblazoned across the front.
Sports writers refer to Jonathan as a “journeyman” player. That means Jonathan is not elite enough to sign a multiple-year deal, so he journeys from one team to the next.
Jonathan went undrafted in 2018, but he was picked up by the Arizona Cardinals. He was waived after suffering an injury. Jonathan was signed by four NFL teams in 5 years. He has been waived (let go) by three of those teams for various reasons.
